FAQ'S

Frequently asked Questions:

-How can I get into contact with you?

Our number is 334-677-3056

-What are your hours of operation?

Mon-Thur: 7-5
Fri: 7-12
& 12-5 by Appointment Only
Sat: By Appointment Only
Sun: Closed

-How long does the process take?

The length of the process depends on the size of the job. We can give you an accurate estimate after we get a full understanding of the project with all the bells and whistles so to speak.

-Do you give free estimates?

Yes. You can bring in a set of plans or we can measure your job ourselves.

-Do you finish cabinets?

Yes. We offer several different styles of finishes from painted, stained, glazed, antiqued, and pickled.

-What if I already have a painter?

We would be glad to finish them for you, but if you have your own painter, we can build the cabinets and install them unfinished.

-Can I bring my own designs?

Certainly, if you have pictures of styles you like, they will be helpful. We will also be glad to help you create a design/style for your cabinets if you are not sure what you like.

-Do you work with designers?

Yes if you have a designer we would be glad to work with them to complete your job.

-Do you re-finish cabinets, doors and drawer fronts?

Yes. We will be glad to make new doors and drawer fronts or re-finish the ones you have. Once we see the project we would know more about how to better guide you to a decision.

-Is there anything that I can do to help make the process run smoother or faster?

Yes. Any pictures or clippings that resemble what you are wanting would truly help. Also if we are designing a kitchen it always goes faster if you have an idea about which appliances, hardware, and accessories you’re wanting.  Once you have picked the appliances we are going to need the make & model number to get the appliance specifications to make sure everything thing comes together once laying off the space.

-Why should I buy custom cabinets from Woodcraft of Dothan?

Woodcraft of Dothan Inc. products maintain a very high quality level with respect to materials, workmanship, and finishes. These levels of quality can be maintained consistently. Furthermore, Woodcraft of Dothan Inc. does not build an inventory of cabinets, but rather only builds cabinets when orders are received.  With our cabinets, there is full customization and flexibility from simple size changes to full-out customized components. The results with Woodcraft of Dothan Inc. will be fully customized high quality cabinetry.

-How should I clean my cabinets?

Treat your cabinetry just as you would fine furniture, particularly when it comes to moisture, wood’s worst enemy. Don’t drape wet towels across cabinet doors and take special care of cabinetry near sinks, dishwashers, and other humid areas. Dust with a soft lint-free cloth, and use only non-alkaline soap to clean your cabinetry. Don’t use abrasive cleansers or scouring pads, which can damage the finish.

-What type of construction are your cabinets?

Our cabinets are a framed construction. Framed is a term used to describe a method of cabinet construction when it has a face frame, and not just frameless. Framed construction holds up much better because the face frame adds strength and stability to the cabinet. The face frame is typically ¾” thick. The doors are then attached to this framework. Frameless cabinetry is built with 5/8” to 3/4'” thick panel material and without a face frame on the face of the cabinet box. The doors are hinged directly to the cabinet side wall. This in our opinion takes away from the stability and integrity of the cabinet.

-Do you offer countertops too?

Yes, we offer granite tops, wood tops, cultured marble tops and laminated tops.

-How would I apply for a job with Woodcraft of Dothan Inc?

Woodcraft of Dothan Inc. is always looking for skilled employees that can measure, cutout, build, finish and install. Part of our job is to know how to please customers and working great with others. We believe in integrity and respect.  We believe our word is our bond and treat our employees and customers with dignity and honor and believe that our employees should display these traits as well.  To apply for a job with us you would need to call us at 334-677-3056 and email us a copy of your resume at woodcraftofdothan@gmail.com to be considered.
